Life on Mars
What is life?
You might feel a little silly asking yourself this question, but what is life?We all know what the word life means, but how to we define it?Do all living things move? .It's almost as hard to describe where we came from. Even biologist have a hard time describing life, but many years of studying a variety of bacteria and animals they found some things they all have in common.
1) All living things are highly organized and contain many complex chemical substances.
2) All living things contain one or more cells.
UNICELLULAR- contains just one cell
MULTICELLULAR- contains many cells
3) All living things use energy.
4) Living things have a definite form and have a limited size.
5) Living things grow.
6) Living things respond to changes in the environment.
7) Living things can reproduce.
8) Living things eventually die.
Life on other planets
A new paper published in Planetary and Space Science claims cold rocky planets previously considered uninhabitable may actually be able to support life beneath the surface.Read more at: http://phys.org/news/2014-01-life-planets-widespread.html#jCp. Now we know life could be on other plantes are there an that are like this? The answer is yes. One of Jupiter's moons Europa has an ice filled surface that could, but very unlikely to support life.
